Critical Madness : Trails of the Terrible, Horrifying death (To the gory of 90's Deathmetall underground!)

Finally, after times (rotting) I've some free times to write and breath more stinky on this website. (Hopefully)

+ +

What we've today on this ugly tomb? Of corpse we're still talk about filthy and putrid deathmetall! More raw ridden deathmetall directly to your ugly face!

+ + +

For those who recognise Thomas Prasser, and his work with Putrid Torso you might know that him now also work with a new band project, old rotting kind of deathmetall style, Pile Of Skulls. The first demo are completed rotting done few weeks ago and a little teaser are up if you might interested how it's reeking and with the help from Rogga Johansson on vocal and Izi on drums, "Horrifying Death" Demo totally will bring you back how the death metal underground works and sounde(a)d back in the early 90's. Let me say, this demo totally suit for those consider themselves a demo tape (worm) lover / collector also for those who lives in that era too!

The demo features four tracks of raw sounding US death metal style (include one gloomy-horror intro) and it's reminds me alot of slow-ridden death of Autopsy styles and the music is played with a touch and combination of slow doom - mid tempo kind of de-composition of deathmetall and the demo features a raw yet detailed of sound production. Of corpse you'll loved it´s more when you digging more deeply about this demo, the sound production is still sounde(a)d good in first touch.

The most amazing thing about this entire demo is the absolutely stunning vocal from Rogga Johansson. It's show of the most rotten sounding vocal styles with low gruff growls and screams, really loved Rogga Johansson sing style on this demo! The riff guitar work as a whole on the demo is rather simple (not so fvcking simple actually) and not too technical too. Pile Of skulls still manages to pull out some incredibly original and brutal - heavy - raw guitar riffs. They are crunchy, fast, and to the fvcking slow-doom at the same times. Also a credits to the bass section, it's totally heavy distortede(a)d!

I can't get enough rotting actually, "Upon a pile of skulls", "World of murder", "Trails of the terrible", and "Bled out and hung to dry" just show Pile Of Skulls can wrote more insanely notes of old kind deathmetall in the future. It's totally enjoyable demo and sometimes may twisted sounding and very creative song de-composition. The demo was produced by Alexander Dietz and it's successfully delivering all the filthy, rotting and putrid atmosphere on this demo.

"Horrifying Death" have all the ingredient that you need ; disgusting, raw, and dirty old deathmetall. This is the kind of death metal demo that is actually horrifying and slowly rotting at the same times on your ears, the whole putrefaction of the demo has showing how raw, reeking, murky sound that Pile Of Skulls try to fester! Really fvcking loved this debut demo by Pile Of Skulls and drawn me to the fvcking early era of underground deathmetall again.

Are you still remember how old demos sounde(a)d back in the good old days? Check them out fiends!

Critical Madness : CORPSEREAPER "Rehearsal" / Tape

I heard and know about the existence of Corpsereaper from DARAHHEAD Zine, issue 2 around six years ago. The band was hailing from Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia and not so much information that I managed digging about the existence of the band right now, the latest news that I got, is some of the old lineup of the band reform another bands which some of you might know about it's. Corpsereaper was lead by Rizal  (voc/guitar), Man (bass) and Black (drum) and this rehearsal tape contained 3 song which I thought the proof the band still existing and festering on my local dods-scenes and also there are two version of tape cover for this releases.

I've nothing problem to dwell with the production seem like they have plan to record this tape live under the raw 'funeral' of studio. This is a very primitive releases in term of sound production, the way the band delivered the old feel of demo tape and I thought it's very good to keep this releases on my collection and I'm just loved all the raw, filthy and harsh sound that coming out from this tape.

"Morbid Thrash Hammer" open up with the low and brutality riffing on this rehearsal tape, by the way I can barely hear some people talked on the end of the track, Ha! This is why I liked very much all the live recording styles, without proper mixing and it's just like fresh meat on the first hand for you. "Darkside Possessor" is give some straight-forward song direction with the evil-grimly sounding riffing and the slower oriented from the song just give me a moment to breath. And to make it's more interesting, the last song from the rehearsal tape, "Brutal Ritual" have two phase of structure which they're played. The heavy-poundead riffing with the old school vibe style and the mid-tempo beat end this tape pretty good to me.

Maybe some of you will not like this releases, unless you're one of those guys that loves early period of underground releases, the raw and noisy taste of sound production and low fi death/thrash (black) then you should listen to Corpsereaper, this is will be you happy boneyard moment and this rehearsal  tape has some of the old production feels and I totally enjoy as a fan of old underground style release which I think is hardly to find any band has delivered this kind of method and style nowdays.

Critical Madness : PUTRID TORSO "Grave Desecrating Ritual" Full Length-Album / CD

The Ghouls Of The Graveyards

We near to end rotting completed in 2017, and a lot of sick stuff still haunted me down on this last few months and there's always something will blew my mind when it's comes to wrote about Old School Death Metal release. It's no matter if the band are doing something similar and just recycles the path again or even digging up yours old memories from the past as long it's quite interesting and worship the real tunes of death. And, I'm still saving my deadbrains for something more dark, ugly and filthy of Death Metal. The graveyard of dead that fulfilled with flesh-eaten rotting zombie!

Horror from the graveyards!!
PUTRID TORSO, definitely a braindead idea coming from Thomas Prasser. Thomas Prasser always wanting to delivered more rotten, sick and heavy stuff of old Death Metal. If we walked under the gloomy-unlights before, we can see Thomas Prasser work with several Black/Death band or project such like Goatthroat, Heretic Deathcult, Obscurys, Ruins of Unlight and Old Skull. And with PUTRID TORSO back from the long dead rotting hiatus right now, let's seek for more rotting old death stuff in the future from him. There are some familiar name beyond the creation of "Grave Desecrating Ritual" Album, some of them are Rogga Johansson from Paganizer etc that put his effort beyond the vocal section, Jan Psyander Withney / JDW-DEATH My Only Friends and Marc / Artwars mediadesign that make the CD booklet look horrifying and terrifying sick enough with killer arts and layout to my eyes and just look how thick the CD booklet make me smile how importance this first releases of PUTRID TORSO to them.

PUTRID TORSO "Grave Desecrating Ritual" Album was for sure another most expected old school death stuff that coming out in 2017. With 8 tracks of ugly death tunes alongside the horror sample intro that may sounded someone digging the old graves and collected the dead body. It's quite interesting how the intro from this album slowly make my mood increased to death and need more dose of horror and thrill-suspense melo-touch. The first song is just killer, "The Ghoul Of Graveyards" with rotting and crunchy riff's barely open my head straightly with some old flavor from Swedish Death before "A Morbid Rising" show more aggression towards the song decompose and structure. The first-two tracks from this album show same death metal groovy-laden touch but in different kind of fast and slow atmosphere and also the guitar tones from Thomas Prasser that sounded fat and disgusting enough and Lille beyond the dead-beat drumming just show how excellent this two guy work together for this album. I've much enjoy the opening riff's in "A Crypt To Keep" and a screaming effort from Rogga in the early of "Towards The Cemetary" song, it's totally fvcking creepy-monster voices. As the CD still spinning off on my player, I spotted some interesting quite changing paced between "The Boneless Crawlers" and
"Collector of Zombies" song. The paced approach becoming more disgusting and filthy heavy which I think came with horror melodies and lyrics and suddenly swirling my head to the wall, it's a friendly-headbanger song and the feels from this tracks totally fvcking awesome! And the combination between Thomas, Lille and Rogga probably hit the high pitch on the last song from this album, "Midnight Mousoleum". It's quite grotesque-heavy than the previous song and get all the lost rotting component rejoin and mixed well together on the final runs of  "Grave Desecrating Ritual" Album.

It's quite interesting when came to pick my favorites tracks from "Grave Desecrating Ritual" Album seem I'm really enjoy all the sick and heavy tunes from this album. With uglier and stinky of old sound production but in very advanced way, the album just showed how old death metal formation works with simple straight forward structure and lyrics, and with brilliant guitar work by Thomas, the sound of ripping snare beyond Lille drum-seat and deep monster howling from Rogga the album just cherish the zombie ritual ceremony. Also, the rotting credits must goes to Tribulacion Production and Epidemia Records for putting this excellent work by PUTRID TORSO in very awesome CD publication. It's a recommend(a)d stuff ?? Yes for sure! and for those dwell the horror and ugly feel of Old School Death Metal, PUTRID TORSO another band you shouldn't miss.

Horror of Death

Critical Madness : WOMBRIPPER | TORN APART "S/T" Split / Tape

On the frozen fields, we're always like an ever flowing of death....

Russian death metal underground scene develop in pretty fast and move into another interesting phase, a lot of putrefying and horrified Death Metal acts has raised since few years ago. To short of list, there are WOMBRIPPER from Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow stenching rotten death, TORN APART.  I dig the first-two records that TORN APART put on the burial ground before, but this is my first time listening to WOMBRIPPER, otherwise what I know about them, they seem pretty much possessed by the chainsaw-buzzsaw of Swedish Death Metal sounds trademarks. For those reclaims themselves a Dismember's fans, you should check this band.

Short but total death!

Crushing of Boss HM-2:
Only two song contains from this split tape, but I think it's enough for anyone want to know what Russian Death Metal-Underground look like todays. The split tape starts off with crushing raw-melo death intro by WOMBRIPPER, "Morbid Aberration" may sounde(a)d and delivered tons of
heavy paced than a demo version. The song atmosphere and this little HM-2 production really dominating the first side of the split and you can listen the punch on-off swicth on the pedal beyond "Morbid Aberration". It's surely orgasm enough for Dismember's loyal maniac. It's good that some bands are still prevails the Swedish Death Metal sound after a years.

Six-feet-under beyond the raw ugly death:
TORN APART came with a new song for this split. "Depths of Madness" may sounded little bit differences from the first side of the tape in terms of song (slaughtered) and production. It's a raw production and just remind me the "Severed Survival" by Autopsy vibe and feelings. Deep
growls by Tony and approaching by thick-weird bassline in the mid of the song by Romero really put the awesome arrangements on the song. Mid-paced Death Metal and filthy-moldy riff's will tell ya why I love the band very much and there are a simple-extreme rhythm riff's on the song that fill up on my analog player during the session with TORN APART.

To wrath it's all, this split tape reveals the great raw production, crushing / filthy atmosphere and cherish the band darkness more. It's really short in terms of song but it's still can satisfied my rotten soul. And two things that I got from this split tape, firstly it's bring me down into Swedish Death Metal era again with WOMBRIPPER and secondly get rotting in depth of madness with TORN APART, and it's just contains pure old-Death Metal flavor straightly from this Moscow stench of death!

Critical Madness : NECRO-E "Assemblage of Emanated Embryo" Demo / Tape

It's quite interesting when Takashi Tanaka introduced the band directly to me back then, and I can't believed what the band was done almost 26 years ago totally never been banished in the rotting memory lane from some of us. Firstly, let's give a big rotting credit's to John from Von Frost Records to make this dream comes to dread. It's definitely a special exclusive re-issue that I think a 'must have' records for the old fans of this Japanese obscure and primitive Death/Doom and to all analog-demo-gravedigger! Thanks Takashi for hitting me up again with this tape.

"Assemblage of Emanated Embryo" demo was the band's second demo after the gore-birth of "Beginning of the Death" Demo in 1991, also the years when "Devoured Periphery" Demo was unleash too. It's not a quite mysterious and interesting when a band that already put 3 demo's in one year and after that recalled for the official split up? Only Minoru Kameizawa and Yoshio Hasegawa know the truth and I found some live footage of 'Oozing Child' on the Youtube, and it's totally a killer show and performances by the band and the crowds to be remember and just looking this old video I'm pretty sure it's was taken almost a decades ago. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

"Assemblage of Emanated Embryo" demo contains 12 songs definitely to be played in mostly low tunes of Death/Doom ways. From mid-tempo Death Metal to slower death/doom just give me a times to relax and embede(a)d my walk across the rotting carcass body. Also, there will be a huge putrid-stench of grind vibe was festered on this demo will puts you off constantly if you're not a fans for this style of rotting lo-fi productions. Some song just been slicing in very short of time, it's like you've just been left in gloomy graveyards, rotting decompose alone and eaten alive by the worms and you can spot that from the tracks 'Untamed Anathema', 'Unmerciful Mist', 'Shock on Intensities' and 'Mass Murder'. It's totally short and delivered a numerous obscure atmosphere or feels from the songs. I'm actually gotten some shock when listening to 'Unmerciful Mist', the Punk flavor and drum beat in the early of the song totally caught my ears. At the moment, I just recognised NEKRO-E actually put a very creative idea on each of the song and try approach the flavor with their own putrid style. Try listen to 'Assemblage of Emanated Embryo' tracks, the speaking style despite of growls beyond the chorus of the song probably the main highlight for me. Ha! Loved that tracks! Also the gloomy-filth melody on 'Beyond the Gates' and the outro-'Decaying the rain' just build up and reconjured the demo atmosphere.

From the mostly slow rotting low tune-paced on 'Under Destruction' tracks and to heavy-grinding death riff's from the 'Boiling Gore', NEKRO-E just put a really fvcking awesome demo back then and Von Frost Records probably put this ugly and disgusting demo in very special reissue-editions of pro-tape. The one in my hand are the brand new arts and layout was done by Mark Riddick. It's a yellow 'mustard' shell tape / cases and out in very limited 69 copies. There also have a 2nd version for this demo with the original art work and come out with high quality J-cards and it's only been press with black shell w/white cases and out in very limited to 31 copies only.

It's a good and killer reissue release both come from the label and the band. And looking how the label handling this reissue of NEKRO-E demo totally make me satisfied and fvcking happy forever!

Total classick!

Critical Madness : FUNEREALITY "Flabby Folds of Flesh" Demo / Tape

I never seen any Death Metal band that worship AUTOPSY more than FUNEREALITY! It's the fact! The previous EP, "Goregeous" , contains pretty much of unspeakable shitfun-work that turn to be a good classick release in my opinion and pushes it's more into extremely rotting and disgust level both from song and lyrics that embalmed from that EP. It's already done on the "Funeral for A Fuck", "Leeches" or "Deathwish" demo and I only can hope, Gusten Andlos can carry out more filthy, stink and disgusting stuff in the upcoming years.

"Flabby Folds of Flesh" Demo are brand new 'gut-eater' from FUNEREALITY. With infamously 'disgusting-bluerragghhh' vocal style, distortion-heavy poundead sound of bass and more extra doom riff's was present, Gusten Andlos are doing it's alone and successful again. Of corpse there are some memorable tunes on here, between the AUTOPSY's slow of doomier-trademark and the raw vibe of Severed Survival anthem. Gusten Andlos swirling out the tunes in very freshly of vile slicing meat and some riff's that easy for you to remember and humming, just like the first track from the demo, 'Pigs'. "Flabby Folds of Flesh" Demo also proved the Punk's flavor can't be separated away, I know the band have pretty much obsessed by some 'raw-pang' tune, you generally can spotted the riff's was build in very simple and straight to the ugliness of the song and with the flowing from the drums beat, rolls and blast just sound very filthy neat between the fast-slow paced. Gusten Andlos's vocals also the main factor and dominate the ugly atmosphere from the demo, with rotten shriek directly from his rotten bowel, the sick deranged styles just give some special feeling listening to the demo.

The musical and lyrics just offer an within disgusted and more obsession method, but the majority of the song are played in very shorted. These recently era, when the revival of Old School Death and plenty of band just pay homage to old classick sound of death and take an influences from the mighty AUTOPSY, it's pretty hard to deny their incarnation and to cut off what FUNEREALITY are doing and festering for, are the big mistake you've done. I'm glad "Flabby Folds of Flesh" Demo still sounded like previous FUNEREALITY stuffs and still worship the charred-disembowel and mind-blowing AUTOPSY's cadaver tunes. A lot of shitfun-work, sinking and shit on the grave environment from the demo on the run almost 10 minutes are really worthy for those dig all AUTOPSY's and FUNEREALITY works.

The new demo are out in very super-limited-editions of 'home-dubb' tape, and I must say, I'm just a lucky person among the 13th deadhead who get the chances to hold FUNEREALITY new demo. "Flabby Folds of Flesh" Demo is a complete disgusting new work done Gusten Andlos and I hope there are label will re-release it's again in the future in pro-press cassette.

Stay dead, and praise the AUTOPSY!

Critical Madness : CASKET "Ghouls Of Filth" Demo / Tape

For those consider themselves a true or the gravedigger the early 90's Old sound of Death Metal will loved the final result on "Ghouls Of Filth" Demo, and I recently though to myself how lucky I am to knew the existence of this band, CASKET. The band was hailing from Germany and conducted by Marco Brinkmann, the debut demo by CASKET also show how great this man handling all the studio recording process parts and it's just flow like that before S.Genozider come to lay down his effort on the rotten drum-tomb set. This is the type of demo that can't easily faded away from your head after just listen once, a lot of greatness from the old chamber of Death Metal prevails and unleash the outstanding sound that came out stink on this 4 track demo's. Less of that, "Ghoul Of Filth" Demo it's definitely worthy for someone that loved all the "slowly-death" anthem by Autopsy, Obituary and Asphyx.

Mostly from the song de-compositions on this demo are wrote in simply straight forward writing that maybe some of us thought it's a experimentation that came blast from the past or even the key that holder to re-open the dark and doomy atmosphere from the demo. I'm surely can say, it's a point that show or even proved the band already heading towards to the greatness path what some Death Metal band left this recent days. CASKET takes a few step into the old coffins generally from the music with their own flavor and horror-disgusting trademark.

All "dirty-filthy" track from "Ghouls Of Filth" Demo offered a classick rotting sound of Death Metal. It's served by the grimly-heavy riff's guitar tones on every track and certainly meet up between Death Metal and Doom Metal path. This classick combination you can softly spot filled up and created the dark landscapes that maybe spark from your amps. The first track from the demo, "Flesh Winter" has started the real musical that CASKET brought, it's really short from duration of times and was ended up by doomy paced that lead to the second track that sounded more heavy than previous one and embalmed all the Autopsy's feel. This epic style of slow-riffing guitar's give a new dimension just in few more second before the solo guitar's festering the whole creation of "Ghouls Of Filth" tracks. The second tracks maybe the highlight tracks on this demo if you asked me. And I'm really loved how this tracks flow and fill-up on the groovy beat.

From the darkness that prevails from "Ghouls Of Filth" Demo, the sound of crunchy heavy riff's and buzz-bass line played will smashed directly into your head. Something that probably hit's my head up, is Marco's voice. It's definitely distorts-monster-chocked growls represented from deep of rotting side of his own throat and give us numerous deathbreath to all song from the demo and I think his vocal approach on the demo are the important part how much heavy and disgusting brutal the demo has produced. The stand-out screams-yell from "Covered In Guts" track and mid-paced aggression beat turn in very well and make the demo end up with glorious feels.

On the final crawl from the "Ghouls Of Filth" Demo, I'm really enjoy what CASKET already done, from the slower riff's into rotting-rancid riff's work well together and cherish all the atmosphere from the demo. The horror-vibe remains from the start into the end of the demo was played and it's just pure sickness of Doom to the crushing Death Metal sound.

Grab your copies of "Ghouls Of Filth" Demo from Lycanthropic Chants or directly smashed up your head to the CASKET tomb-pages for more details!

Rotten rancid of Death, total gore and total doom!

Critical Madness : GRAVEWARDS "Subconscious Lobotomy" Demo / Tape

In other left-hand (path) there's a tons of most-talented unknown bands out there that are trying to do something fresh!  And nowdays, it's really good to see what going around the Death Metal-Underground scenes. Of corpse! now we are getting floored with Swedish Death Metal clones/tribute bands but I pretty guess it's regurgitation from the past how this things started back then. Along my walk into the river of death, I just found another quite potential and hardworking quarter Old School Death Metal band that you need to seek after this!

+ + + + + +

Rotting away from Athens, Greece!

The macabre tales of GRAVEWARDS started back in 2015 when the choir of death has singing down by the death-ripper, and there was Niko (Vocal / Guitar), Fotis (Bass) and Vasilis (Drum) hold tight their passion and aiming to delivered their own style of DEATH METAL towards the madness! The macabre tales never tell us the lies... here we're representing the first debut demo by GRAVEWARDS!

GRAVEWARDS drawn (in blood) all the dark atmosphere from "Subconscious Lobotomy" Demo with a surprisingly and variety of music structure. Generally, GRAVEWARDS represents Old School Death Metal in many varied ways with their own styles. Among the filth tunes, you can spotted some technical or melo-thrash metal riff's floored on the band song. It's quite interesting or may average sounded for someone who loved the "simple-straight forward" stuff like me, but believed me it's turn out very freshly when a lot of non-complex elements or not even much "fvcking brutal technical" parts has crushing from beginning of the demo when you played it's. There are only four tracks on the long duration "20 : + + minutes" on "Subconscious Lobotomy" Demo, and GRAVEWARD definitely will give you a dozen of quality from their music. Track like "Crawling Chaos" contained such a very heavy rotting-riffs, mid-temp of beat and disastrous bass-monger  that I think can providing you the final completely of macabre death metal. Each song from the demo has something to offer and coloring the path onto a different ways. Also, all the tracks from "Subconscious Lobotomy" Demo already proved how good musicianship GRAVEWARDS have!

And... just like how good GRAVEWARDS dismembered their music alongside a different kinds mix of elements, in other darkside Niko just slaughter his throat with a nicely monster-growl. I really like how Niko's singing and it's remember me a voices from Tomi Koivusaari from Amorphis and John Tardy from Obituary. You know that monster-growls from “Tales from the Thousand Lakes”? or "Slowly We Rot" album?

To wrath all, this demo straightly ruptured a heavy-grooves and slice decompose from  Old Death Metal period, On other way, which I think it's totally perfect for the band to record all the tracks in proper studio. Just thanks to Made In Hell studio, the final result will describe how good the sound have been produced! I'm really impressive when I got a chances to listen the "Subconscious Lobotomy" Demo and it will be exciting to see what GRAVEWARDS will offering and satisfy again my filthy music tastes in the future!

Favourites song from the demo?
Crawling Chaos and Deathwomb Incubation! And, just one words to describe my feeling towards that song,

    Sickos!

Screams Of Terror From Beyond

Endless aeons of glorious Pestilence lay ahead … ! (Interview with INCONGRUOUS / "DEMO MMXVI" review)

ENDLESS AEONS OF GLORIOUS PESTILENCE LAY AHEAD !

INCONGRUOUS are a solo project and crawling from the gloomy forgotten tomb around Mexico City-graveyard back some years ago. Reveal the morbid, obscure and rotten "sleazy" atmosphere and festering the real heaviness of Doom/Death Metal! It's remain as are one man band project repugnance by Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium and the first demo, "Demo MMXVI" contained 5 tracks in mostly rawness and rotting way of old death already been prevails back in 2016. It's really good to know the existence of the band (better late than rot never!). And it's definitely make a strong impression and blew me up when I got a chance to listen to this release few days ago.

"Humani Pestern Ascensionem" track directly open up the demo by a horror intro and double attack on the bass drum and it's featured what INCONGRUOUS will delivered onto you purulent and bloody disgusting ears in the next of 17 minutes and will put you directly into the primitive-gloomy-disgusting atmosphere. A build up crunchy-rotten riff's launches right after that and it's clear you'll find some difference impression towards the existence of raw tunes from the glorious era of Death Metal.

"Demo MMXVI" are embalmed all the ripping slowly tones and the carcass-cadaver growl that coming from the production will letting you rot with the doomier of the horror-creep melodies. You still can find some fast music arrangement through some song like "Bliss in Confinement", their various influences that come to re-build the creation of INCONGRUOUS, perfectly in balance mixed between the slow paced of Doom and nailed by the sound of rotten Death Metal. The whole production in "Demo MMXVI" will count as dark and pure disgusting producing, and letting the raw and morbid tunes of Doom/Death accompany your soul into obscurity night and will make you decompose and eaten by the stinky worm.

For fans those dwell the other ugly and putrid dimension side of Incantation, Hellhammer, Cathedral or maybe Black Sabbath can grab the demo directly from the band tomb and check out a full interview that I've done with Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium and talk about the creation of the band and doomier to the death stuff on below :

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

ENTERING THE CRYPT-CREATION OF INCONGRUOUS

MIKA ROTTEN - Greeting! And welcome to death-tomb of DISCARNAGE! Firstly, thank you for replying this interview!
Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium - Greetings Mika ! This is Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium, thanks to you for consider Incongruous to take part in your great ‘zine, a few ones actually are really interested in Metal ( in general ) like you.

MIKA ROTTEN - Can you brief us how underground scene look today in your places? I don’t have such a connection to this country and less a band that I know crawling from there. But, I find some good and devastated DM germs from there before like Allusion, Carnot, Darkcreed etc… and now it’s really good to know the existence of INCONGRUOUS.
Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium - There are now a lot of bands, different styles, too many new bands and some old bands playing again but in my opinion there were some good bands in the past, today I see more people worried about being popular and other absurd stuff than making music that is supposed to be the main reason. I preferred to walk away from everything and decided to start over but with another way of seeing and spawning my sonorities. Things have change, only a few bands, labels and promoters try to keep the essence alive. About mexican bands, in my opinion there are examples of good stuff (old basically), old Disgorge, old Mortuary, Toxodeth.

MIKA ROTTEN - I guess, some of us still consider the real connection between USA and Mexico from the political or even economic. It’s easy to all underground worshipper there to carry out this spirit into the street? And you might know that some country still can’t stick with the extreme music.
Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium - It is undeniable the "famous" relationship between both countries but I think that who lives and breathes (whether metalhead or not) in the most coherent way possible, starting with being honest with himself has no barriers even if he lives in a place with all the shit there is ( created by same human plague ). About some country with problems to “accept” Metal music, I think in a band like Dusk from Iran they have formed years and are of a country that traditionally is not Metal.

MIKA ROTTEN - Alright! Please tell us more about how INCONGRUOUS formed back then, and maybe a reason beyond the DEATH/DOOM style did you pick as band music direction.
Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium - I spend many years playing in several bands ( Death, Thrash Metal mainly ) and was in 2013 when Incongruous came into my mind and the need to do something completely mine and make it sound like it did in my head : Dense, morbid, obscure and rotten.  I’ve always liked the monolithic atmosphere and heaviness of Doom Metal and combine it with greatness of Death Metal is the vehicle to conceive and so it will remain.

MIKA ROTTEN - I’ll say your debut demo, “Demo MMXVI” contained such a raw and morbid death to the doom paced. Heavy paced of riffs and deep grunted voice will join to created the dark atmosphere through that demo, and I’m really loved that! Can you speak more to our DISCARNAGE readers the full stories beyond the “Demo MMXVI” creations. How long do you take to record this debut demo, seem all the instrument was played by yourself.
Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium - All sonorities were created between 2014 and 2015, a couple more in early 2016, so as soon as  I could get the necessary equipment and started to record everything  I had in my head, it takes me 3 or 4 months to finish recording drums,  guitars and vocals,   .  Very early on my idea was to join a couple of people and do it  but quickly decided to do it all for myself,  it's actually the first time  I worked completely alone and this finally gave me the result that I was looking for (it's the first and main reason ) and playing with other people was a good experience in some ways  but honestly  I think that if other people are not in the same conviction, synchronicity, objective, commitment to themselves and only play "to have a band" or "because we are friends", for me it's a waste of time.

MIKA ROTTEN - I’m still digging some classic touch from Candlemass or Black Sabbath till today, and speaking about the influence of INCONGRUOUS, I still keep my ears near to Coffins or Hooded Menace music. I don’t say INCONGRUOUS are copy of this band, but the feeling still can’t be hide.
Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium - Sure, Black Sabbath is the great one and there are some other influences on it, even Candlemass, but I was thinking in another great ones like Cathedral, Obituary, Incantation, Bathory, Bolt Thrower and Celtic Frost when Incongruous came into my mind, talking about Hooded Menace is a great band I’ve ever heard in a long time, I like Coffins too and many others.

MIKA ROTTEN - I think your debut demo should release in tape version, it’s will a nice to listen all your “sleazy” riff’s in tape analog version. Can we look it’s happen in the future?
Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium - To be honest I really like release this stuff on tape ( or any other physical format is welcome too ) but I have the idea stuck in my head since the beginning it should be on cassette and will be done either as an independent release or if a label is interested will be great.

MIKA ROTTEN - It’s not easy to handling the band, some problem might happen and I already faced this situations before. And seem INCONGRUOUS are one-man band how did you handling if you have invited to play alive?
Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium - Exactly, as I mentioned before a band requires conviction, commitment among other things that not all people are willing to do, in this case Incongruous will not be a band to play live. It is for this reason that I decided  make it for myself, however I have no problem if it is to collaborate or receive some advice I am in a willingness to listen.

MIKA ROTTEN - In 5 years from now, what we can see from INCONGRUOUS side? Tell us more about your future plans with the bands
Larvae de Iudicio et Vox Exitium - I’ll continue creating more malformed tunes, as a personal goal that I like to share and if there are people who are really interested in Metal is a good thing.

MIKA ROTTEN - Before we wrath up this interview, maybe you want to put your best list of Doom or Death metal albums?

HEAVY DOOM OF THE DEATH!

Critical Madness : PATHOGEN "Ashes of Eternity" Full length / Tape

I'm still dig their old release like "Lust of Evil" demo and their debut full album "Blasphemous Communion" year after year and the San Pablo morbid death by metal is back with the new macabre threat and necro-crematory vision. "Ashes of Eternity" album are the new consecrated vomit after the reborn of "Forged in the Crucible of Death" album back in 2012.

The tape version in my hand right now was unleash by our local label records here, HELLFIRE RECORDS. And of corpse, we already know what PATHOGEN will de-butchered like before! Almost 47 + + minutes of morbid and obscure atmosphere has cherish and vomiting into the death-ground, and a lot of slicing ripping-riff's and re-join by the mid/slow-beat paced to mixed up the creation of "Ashes of Eternity" album. How Willie Desamero growled the carcass voices out from his throat, and how Vic Jarlego blast the snare and put his effort behind his disgusting drum set and the purulent-sound that coming from Jervish Alcos guitar's and Nino Jerome Aranza bass definitely will crack up your dead-brains and the stink smell of death really smelling bad through your journey into the creation "Ashes of Eternity"!

The morbid darkness atmosphere on ""Ashes of Eternity" " album will take you into another dimension of hell, pure evil! and sometimes some track like "Crematorial Destiny" that started with a doom touch / tempo, crunchy-fat tones and dirty skansk D-beat flavor will revel your flesh and the top heavy-notch that coming from the build-up riffing reconjuring the track in very difference way of old death! Just loved the tracks! The final result that coming from "Ashes of Eternity" album will be and turn into the one of the best PATHOGEN release in my side.

Soon, the CD version will available from Old Temple and for those still festering the analog-cassette version can directly get your copies of  "Ashes of Eternity" album from HELLFIRE RECORDS.
