Retributions for the Dead : The sulphurous (filthy) eruption from the depths of... Amorphous Mass

It's been fvcking awhile, I don't really remember when the last time I wrot(t)e(n) a review for this site. Been murky, drowned and dragging through the name of "daily messy job-life" Ha! This is my first updated on this ugly-graveyard since November 2018.

I think some of you already know the existence of SEPOLCRO, so I'll skip the 'beat' for the band introduction on here.

"Amorphous Mass" EP was the latest offer by this Italian / USA old school Death Metal after "Undead Abyss" demo / 2018. "Amorphous Mass" EP crawled with the first track called "The Malevolent Mist" with a hellbell-creepy sounding intro before the crushing-skank-beat drum breaking into one of the heaviest opening track that I've listen this years. Really loved the heavy-pounding drum by Hannes on this track. The leads on previous track, "Sulphurous Eruption From The Depths" and "Unnamed Dimension" just show more how old death metal can be sounded sewer and brutal-filthy more enough! The variation of tempo / riff or even the song structure on this tracks proved that SEPOLCRO really work out on this new release. Need more putrid sound from Nor's bass tones? Just listen to this EP! Loved the heavy-distort came out stink from the bass! Just when you thought your journey came to ends, the last track on this EP "Amorphous Mass" once again manages to bring me back from the dead, listen to heavy crunchy-riffing, sewercide deep growled and brutal-beat changes tempo from time to time, how rotting this track to closed the creation of "Amorphous Mass" EP? SICK!

In rotting words of "Amorphous Mass" EP, this is my favor one! and sometimes, without a solo guitar you surely can writing and (de)composed a very good death metal song. To add more putrid-stink flavor, Hannes should given a big rotting credits beyond this "Amorphous Mass" EP production. He managed to created very brutal-heavy-sick (you named its!) atmosphere on this release, and least not before I'm getting rotting, salute to César Valladares, which illustrated perfectly the "Amorphous Mass" EP cover.

From the time summoning and how the murky-reeking melody-blast from this EP, the production of "Amorphous Mass" EP definitely one of "essential" death metal release coming out on 2019, this EP have everything that you need and I'm expecting more from them after this. "Amorphous Mass" EP, coming out in May, 2019 in CD and LP in rotting corpse'peration with Unholy Domain Records and for all tape-maggot, Dismal Fate Records will handling the ugly one!

Retributions for the Dead : The epitome of putrid and rotting piles on "Undead Abyss"

We've already entering the half crypt of 2018 and the list of rotting death metal demo is never endless. I'm quiet remember the day I received Sepolcro's Festering Evocation demo in my mail, it's was few years ago and today once again I was drowned again when I received a news from Hannes that Sepolcro will ripping the flesh again with another new demo via Unholy Domains Records. There always ugly things that you can't change from the past, from how much this music already develop and quick crawled and infected the underground scenes. For me, Italian Death Metal-Underrrrground scenes always special to me. From the maniac, label, and the bands, and therefore so much filthy places around the tomb get surrounded by the burial fog in here, so many sick-disgusting music was born to make the legion of dead awake and festering the phlegm. It's was a good places to say for the underground fans to lived by. 

Much like countless other bands, Sepolcro is fulfilled with tons of surprise in their career so far, I mean the band have releasing a demo, what we called it "Festering Evocation" back in 2013, a split with Presumed Dead and later on decide to buried alive the band. The latest news that I heard, Hannes Delbello was involved with Ruptured and managed to released a demo called "Blurred Vision" demo last years. 

Short of rotting filthy, Sepolcro back with three 'rotting-putrid-ugly' tracks demo on "Undead Abyss". From 'Undead Abyss' into ugly skansk dead-beat on 'The Edge Of Infinity', the demo production gives me a impression that the release is likely straight from the early 90's, although at times will quick bring you into Autopsy 'Mental Funeral' mood. The raw-devastated sound just creepy and the filler of bones-crushing tones are totally enjoyable and the progressions between each tracks uniquely soundead very original and perfectly blend. The early intro and slow-paced on 'Bone Totem' possibly may distinguished the fact and you'll loved this tracks and drowned into the vocal pains. It's really doesn't matter if it's end like other Autopsy's song, Sepolcro just created their own rotting filthy misery with this song. My favourites tracks so far and you can't deny the putrid vibe! 

The three tracks Sepolcro provide you in "Undead Abyss" demo just pure with raw and putrid-pile death metal composed that is the ugly intent on severing into yours fvcking bones. Extremely filthy-disgusted sounding and all the ghoulish from Sepolcro knew exactly how a death metal should soundead with dirty production-mixed on studio. "Undead Abyss" demo  is almost the perfect death metal demo in 2018 so far!

Don't missed out "Undead Abyss" demo, it's just fvcking awesome old school death metal been wrot(t)en and does everything absolutely right on time. Yes, it’s maybe been done before and tons of band already put some high-end echoes to the music, but this is simply – putrid rotting death metal . It’s only a demo, and myself indeed just loved every demo's feel. 

Critical Madness : Morbus Grave "Throne Of Disgust" demo tape

Anyone can remember what happened back in early 90's somewhere the Italian underground scenes? Can anyone figure it's out for me? Hits me up via email ! I need a fully reports for my thesis :)

Nowdays, if we talk about the Italian DM undergrounds, some band might goes rotting on the paper list. And, of corpse! the list only contained the more pure sickest, dark-raw of old Death by Metal bands ever existed in Italian rotting lands today's. Some bands like Gravesite, Funest, Morbo, Into Darkness or the mighty Necro probably make and releasing a sick demo tape few years ago. And to end up this longest intro, here I give you another stinky-smell-brief about the other sickos, disgusting, total mutilated DM bastards from Milan, Italy

The band was spawned in 2010 by A.th and Erman, and probably the "Throne Of Disgust" demo was released by the Italian sickest records label, Unholy Domains Records before, only the first records this bands was unleashed till the days still counted. Unforgettable season, if you like the old Darkthrone or maybe Death and remember only the sickest among us will survived during the decomposition process, just like Morbus Grave!

Honestly, the smell of rotting process on "Throne Of Disgust" demo are really stinky and pure devastating, horror intro that definitely influenced from some Italian horror movies, some good ripping-rotting riff's can be caught here and there and the perfects clicks on the small holes already fill up with a dark-mutilated by Erman, sometimes it's turn in very good combination between 1/2 phrase or intro from each of their songs. Unlike the previous tracks, the third slaughter tracks from the demo, "Descent Into Dark Abyss" contained a very catchy-crunchy-groovenomous riff's and been added with some doomy parts and what's really got my ear totally the cover song that their put on the next tracks, it's totally full with bloody-screaming lead by the Erman voices. I'm really like how Erman growling-grunted all the tracks on this demo with his own sickest styles, and it's really interested parts to be featured to all bands out there, especially the lead singers, how you should sinking (singing) yours voices in disgusting way.  

I'm just ende(a)d up my boring Sunday with my favourites DM demo spinning tracks by tracks , and there always be "Throne Of Disgust" demo on top of my rotten list demo favourites spinning and walked beside me along the journey into the left-hand-path of death. To speak it's louded into the corridor of death corpses, "Throne Of Disgust" demo are among the macabre-sinister rawness path that sounding directly and nailing from Italian DM rotting graveyards with the tag of mostly underrated DM-demo in 2015, heavy-stinky-rotting tunes, and putrid cadaver voices. Just pure sick among all the rotting tunes! Orgasm!

And, no need to end up this pursuits of nothingness beside you're the lover of analog tapes, you can directly hit the bands for the copy or just throw your 'disgusting' orders thru Unholy Domains Records. You'll be a lucky-boy if the demo still available from them.

P/S : Last for today, don't forget to check "Drowning By Nightmares" tracks from the demo, the solo guitars by Maso Alastor in the end of the tracks totally caught my ears. And here some live rotting footages Arrghhhhhh!!!!

Giving way to Nihilism from the Total Death..

Once upon (dead), almost 8 years ago, there was a places down into the Chilean graveyards of death , the tales of the "buzzsaw" massacre get started when nobody expect where the sound of chainsaw come from. The atmosphere of horror begun.

Putrid Yell, a band that got my attentions (always be my favourite's bands in all the times!) few years ago. The keeper of gloomy cemeteries, come out with "When Life Has Ceased" demo back in 2013 under Ad Baculum Recs before the Italian "Death by Metal" label records, Unholy Domain Recs got the baton of death to re-release the demo once again. So here, I only got a version from Unholy Domain Recs, (Thanks Pech!) So it's like I'll gonna live for once more after I missed the first editions of the demo :)

"When Life Has Ceased" demo directly take you into the ancient Swedish Death Metal glorious times. With that buzzsaw HM-2 tones and heavy-catchy song, you (especially the Swedish Dodsmetall maniac) gonna loved it's, no doubt!! From the solo till the riff's, the mid paced structures and their horror-films themes, Putrid Yell have their own flavor how to make a tasty Death Metal in raw ways. Personally, I loved the smell of stinky D-beat on their songs, Sexphemous doing a good jobs here. I always believe the Punk music are the best combination when you try to make a good Death Metal songs. Never forget and never regret to heavy-growl monster voices by Rod Nihilist, the mutilated of throat will the sick ever. I thinks their have a good times do a recording for this demo, just relax and pull the knob to the max!

Some memories of old Nihilist, Autopsy, Dismember can't be faded away when you listen to this demo. But for me, their have "something" that many Death Metal bands don't have today. Putrid Yell gonna give you something differents that you might lost along times ago. 

"When Life Has Ceased" will be a good demo to play during your funeral ceremonies. Trust me!

Critical Madness : Mortuous "Demo 2012" demo tape

Crawling from the city of dead, California(c), this US filthy death metal is very underrated squad of death for me. In terms of raw and heavy sound production, mix with gloomy and rotten morbid atmosphere is give a very huge impact to all tracks from this demo. If you already listen to "Mors Immortalis" their debut demo when Colin Tarvin blast-heavy-death all the intrusment and created the heavy death metal sound alone, the second demo probably the most complete soul deranged from Colin Tarvin and his new recruit into the bands. The package into the darkness unbound perfectly been unleash on 6 tracks from the second demos. The sickos voc by AL, the simple death beat by Col Jones and follow up by crunchy, chainsaw and heavy tones of sound guitar by Colin Tarvin and Mike give the fresh death-breath all the heavy tracks on this demos. The formula of fast/grinding and slowly riff tempo probably the best ever combination in old school death metal flavor! Freshly from the grave, tracks like "The eternal return" opened in doomier mode before the flavor of Swedish buzzsaw trademark appear. The 2nd demo also already re-issue almost two times (correct me if Im wrong) either in other format, tape or vinyl. The one comes into my necro-collection are from Unholy Domain recs in white tape and vinyl released by Dawnbreed recs. Its such great collection to fill up your old dodsmetal tastes. Dead heavy! Dead Evil! Death Metal!
